Antonelli's Advanced Automotive is taking delivery of a brand new Ozone Generator and will begin offering Ozone treatments to vehicles.
Ozone is the second most powerful oxidant in the world. It saturates hard to reach spaces and leaves no chemical residue, making it ideal for mold eradication/odor removal and an excellent disinfectant. Ozone has been used for more than 100 years for disinfection, sterilization, deodorization, dis-intoxication, storage and bleaching thanks to it's high oxidability.
Ozone destroys 99% of viral pathogens on surfaces in just 30 seconds of exposure by diffusing through the protein coat into the viruses nucleic core and damaging it's RNA. The coronavirus is considered an "enveloped virus" which are usually more sensitive to physio-chemical changes.
Ozone generators should not be used in places with people, pets or plants, so your vehicle will need to be picked up or dropped off at the shop. The generator will run inside the vehicle for about 15-30 minutes (depending on the size of your vehicle), circulating through the interior, and running through the heating and cooling system ductwork. After which we remove the ozone, air the vehicle out for several hours and replace the cabin air filter to complete the process.
We will be offering this process at $60 plus the cost of replacing the cabin air filter, which is usually $50-$70.
